CENTRAL OTAGO SEAT.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l notice some Central Otago electors objecting to Mr Charles Todd’s candidature because he does not reside in the electorate he seeks to represent, and I wonder if the same United Party electors would apply the same argument to Dunedin South? Mr Taverner does not reside in his electorate, and his business premises are not in the electorate either. Why not be loyal to a resident who has been actively, associated with the district in many organisations for the past twenty-five years and who has an excellent record of services? —I am, etc., ElhqTOß. November 23.
