LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 4. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Law Practitioners Bill was reported from the Statutes Revision Committee with amendments. Moving the committal. of the Bill, Sir Thomas Sidey explained that, by courtesy of the Government, lie had been allowed to take charge of the measure, as he had prepared it before vacating office as Attorney-General. The Bill consolidated six amending Acts passed since 1908, and the contentious clauses had been deliberately excluded. —The Bill was put through all remaining stages and passed. The Council rose at 3.30 p.m. until to-morrow. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Air H. G. R. Mason _ (Auckland Suburbs) gave notice of his intention to introduce the Rural Sewerage "Validation Bill. The Alining Amendment Bill was reported Horn the Goldfields and Alines Committee without amendment. Urgency was accorded the passage of the Customs Amendment Bill and the adoption of the Public Works Statement hhd Estimates. 'These were not completed till 5 a.m.
