An unsuccessful attempt was made to assassinate Nanking’s Minister of Finance (Mr Soong) on his arrival from Nanking this morning by a group of southern political agents. Two bombs and twenty-five bullets missed Mr Soong, but his secretary was killed and six bystanders were injured. The perpetrators of tho outrage escaped.
