HANDLED WELL
OUR PRODUCTS OVERSEAS
[From Our Parliamentary Reporter.]
WELLINGTON, July 23. The management of New Zealand’s products in Great Britain is conducted on sound businesslike linos in 'the opinion of Mr Forbes, as expressed in the House to-night. ‘As far as 1 could see,” said Mr Forbes, ‘‘ our organisations handling eur products m Great Britain were operating in a most effective manner. I heard some complaints concerning the question of the quality of our products, 'there was a good deal of criticism of oui cheese, and some regarding our butter. Ono complaint related to the time butter was held, and it was suggested that we should try to have butter sold as quickly
as possible to ensure its delivery iu | fresh condition. Taken as a whole, the meat, butter, cheese, apples, and honey were handled in Great Britain in a I sound, businesslike way. 1 do not say , that improvements cannot bo effected, or that our markets cannot be ex- ; tended, but I do say that wo have boon very well served at Home.”
