Mr C. M. MOSS

Candidate for the City Council and Hospital Board

Mr C. M. Moss, a candidate for the City Council and the Hospital Board, was horn in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, in 1882. He is an engineer by trade, and has always taken a keen interest in politics, especially in finanqe and defence matters. He has taken .part in the rifle shooting competitions at Trentham, and has twice won the service championship of New Zealand, and also represented North Staffordshire at the Bisley meeting for four years. Mr Moss has twice been president of the Otago Labour Representation Committee, also of the Otago Trades and Labour Council, and was a member of the National Executive of the New Zealand Labour Party.

He contested, the Dunedin West seat in tlie Labour interest in 1923 against the lion. Downie Stewart, and again in 1928 as a member of the United Party. At present he is a member of the local Unemployment Committee. /
