JOHN M'GLASHAN COLLEGE
The hom'd of governors of the John M'Glaslian College mot on Friday evening in First Church Hull. 'The chairman welcomed Mr G. M. MncLcnn, the newly-appointed member ol tho board. There wore present Mr T. C. Ross (chairman), tho Revs. J. Kilpatrick and j J. Cairncy, Messrs A. C. Cameron, M'Gcorgc, MacTiCnn. Russell, Somerville, Dr J. K. Elder, rrofossor T. D. Adams, and Mr Gilray. Appreciation was expressed ol tho synod’s grant to the college from its education funds, Tho chairman of tho Works Committee reported on sundry necessary repairs which had been attended to, and on the alterations which were to ho made to tho science room. Sympathy was expressed with Mr .Logan iii Ins accident. The principal reported that tho secondary school had been holding its animal three days’ barracks. Major Mead, accompanied by Lieutenant Sngden, bad inspected the cadets. Tho arrangements of the barracks were in the capable hands of Lieutenant Williams, who was ably assisted by Pergeants-major MtKenzie, Rowman, M Cnrrv, and Fitzgerald. Mr Gilray reported lie had received a letter from Messrs Moore, Moore, and Niehol informing him that a bequest had been made under tho will of tho late Mr F. Z. Moore to tho College Chapel Fund. Tho hoard members expressed warm appreciation ol tho gift.
