WEDDING
CALEY—STEVENSON. A very pretty wedding took place at St. Joseph’s Cathedral on tho evening of January 2, when Ethel, elder daughter of Frederick and Josephine Caley, was married to Alexander, elder son of tho late John and Christina Stevenson, of Dunedin,- the ceremony being performed by the Rev. bather M’Deviit. Mrs Mitchell presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church ou tlie arm of her father, looked charming in a, model gown ol ivory georgette and silver lace, with dainty coatee to match. Her silk embroidered tullo veil, which fell from a train, was arranged in mop cap style, held in place by clusters of orange blossoms. Sho carried a bouquet of efeam roses and sweet peas. Sho was attended by her sister as bridesmaid, wearing an early Victorian frock of shell pink crepe da chine, trimmed with Oriental lace, with drooping crinoline picture hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and lavender sweet peas, Tho bridegroom was attended by his brother as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held in Clarke Street Hall, where over seventy guests were received by tho bride’s mother, wearing a dainty blue colanese frock, with hat to tone and carrying a bouquet of red roses. Among the chief guests were Miss Hughes, Waimatc, Mr Carr, Wellington, Mr Rutter, Nelson,” and Mr Sheridan, Dunedin, cousins of the bride. During tho breaktast tho usual toasts wore honoured. The happy couple left next morning for a tour of the North Island, tho bride wearing a brown crepe do chine frock, with brown marmot fur coat, tiio gift of the bridegroom. Their future homo will bo m Wellington.
