(Received January 10, at 11 a.m.) • Anticipations of a settlement of the South Wales coal dispute at tho joint meeting of owners and men’s representatives at Cardiff to-day _ wore disappointed by a breakdown in the negotiations on tho interpretation of the clause relating to independent arbitration. The Government representatives will meet both parties in London on Monday.
