INHABITANTS OF BELGIUM VILLAGES FLEE FROM ADVANCING WATERS.—The heavy rains that fell recently in Belgium caused the breaking of the dykes at Scheldt, and the hanks of the river at Antwerp have suffered considerably from the rush of water. In places the whole road has collapsed. This picture shows the inhabitants of a village crossing a huge hole in the road during the escape from the invading waters.
