CASE OF THE CHICAGO REPORTER Frew Ataociation—By Telegraph —Copyright NEW YORK, January 8. The capture of tho murderer of Mr Alfred Lmgle, the Chicago ‘ Tribune ’ reporter, is announced by Mr Pat Roche, the investigator for the State’s attorney. The prisoner, Leo V. Brothers, is wanted in St. Louis for gang murder. He has been positively identified as tho murderer.
[Linglo was shot while ho was boarding a train at a railway station in the heart of Chicago to fulfil an assignment in a suburb. According to one report he was murdered by a gangster because he was engaged irj the investigation of a crime, while another report stated that he was in league with gangland and received payments from it.]
