RELIEF GRANT FROM GOVERNMENT A STR AIGHT OUT GIFT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright* OTTAWA, January 8. (Received January 9, at 11.45 a.m.) A relief grant of at least 20,000,000 dollars will be made to prairie farmers during the coming session of Parliament “is a straight out gift. It is conservatively estimated that there are 150,000 farmers in need with dependents, amounting to 600,000. The grant is likely to bo based as two dollars to every one granted by the Provincial Governments.
