SPANISH REVOLUTIONARIES
DETAINED IN LIVERPOOL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, January 6. (Received January 7, at 1 a.m.) The Liverpool correspondent of the * Daily Express ’ says: Two young Spanish air officers, who confessed to have taken part in three revolutions and to have accompanied General Franco when he planned to bomb the Madrid Palace, arrived at Liverpool in a Booth liner. Their passports Were out of order, so the authorities compelled them to remain on parole at the immigrants’ boarding house. The Spanish Government wants them back in order to be tried and shot, while the British authorities cannof legally give their assent unless tho Portuguese Government will grant visas, which it does not desire to do. Finally the French Consul will not facilitate their journey to Paris, where the aviators desire to go, without tho authority gf their Government. Tho aviators have been informed that they will bo sent back to Portugal unless their papers arc in order by Saturday.
