Mr Skellerup was in Canada while the Prime Minister (Mr Forbes) and Dr Craig (Comptroller of Customs) were trying to reach an agreement on the subject of the butter duties and the car duties with Mr Bennett (Prime Minister of Canada). No success attended the negotiations, and. there was still no success when the two Prime Ministers met in Britain at the linperial Conference. Mr Skellerup was in England at that time.
