OSCAR GARDEN
VISITS HAMILTON AND ROTORUA [Per Exited Press Association.] HAMILTON, December 17. Air Oscar Garden arrived at Hamilton from Auckland this afternoon and was tendered ,a civic reception. Ho was met at the aerodrome by representatives of the Aero Club and the member for the district (Air J. A. Young). Captain Garden and Captain Haig loft by plane for Rotorua this afternoon. ROTORUA, December 37. Air Oscar Garden, with Captain Hewetb and Captain Haig, arrived at Rotorua by aeroplane at 3.35, after a somewhat stormy passage from Hamilton. Tho visitors were met by tho Rotorua Airways plane, and a largo crowd gathered at the aerodrome to welcome them. All the machines made a perfect landing in the teeth of a strong wind. Tho party was met by the mayor (Air T. Jackson) and the president of tho Rotorua Airways (Mr J. D. Davis) and escorted to tho Grand Hotel. A civic reception followed, and later a banquet was given lit the Grand Hotel by the Rotorua Aero Club in honour of Air Garden.
