WONDERLAND FAIR
Tho calm and warm weather of Saturday evening drew thousands to avail themselves of the opportunity of spending some time out of doors. Not tho least attractive amusement was the Wonderland Fair, held in the Battery Grounds at St. Kilda,, for, before tho sun had set until almost midnight, a large crowd of pleasure-seekers was in attendance. The many novel amusements provided on the ground were well patronised, the forris wheel, merry-go-round, - chair-o-plane, and tilt-o-wheel being especially popular. Younger members of the gathering supported tho cabaret, where an excellent programme of dancing was held until a very late hour. Tho fair was a , success ,in every way, and tho Artillery Band should be well pleased with tho largo amount of money it realised.
