Mr Bavin (late Premier),. wlieik asked whether this was correct, replied: “It is quite apparent that Mr Lang is losing his balance or his method of balancing. His fantastic will probably serve as an excuse for his inability to find the money to enable him to fulfil Ids equally fantastic election promises.” FORMER TREASURER’S STATEMENT. SYDNEY, November 8. (Received November 8, at 11 a.m.) Mr B. S. Stevens,_ referring to Mr Lang’s statement, said it was absurd. “ The Treasury’s cash account is in credit. Mr Lang’s statement as Premier is even more reckless and irresponsible than his statement when he was Leader of the Opposition. The cash credit balance with our Sydney bankers on November 1 of this year was approximately £1,100,000, as compared with a balance of a little over £500,000 when wo assumed office three years ago.” '
