PAPAXUI SAILS, A Lyndon Press Association V.-alilcgraui, stales that the steamer [Papanui, which was arrested alter colliding with a lighter and two Jugs at the St, Xazairo docks ’(France), has sailed for Avonlueutli. • SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGES. The jury returned a verdict for •X‘333 12s, the full amount of special damages, and £1,20-1 general damages in the claim of Charles Cason, aged sixty-five, a gardener, against George Thomas Harris and Mackay fuu Campbell, as the result of injuries sustained from a runaway car, which knocked the plaintiff down in the main street a year ago. It was admitted that negligence was the cause. Harris was , ju charge of the car at the time, and Campbell was the owner.—Wellington Press Association telegram. STOCK EXCHANGE.
