COURT ENTERPRISE A.O.F.

A special summoned meeting of the above court was held in the Court Room, Oddfellows’ Hall, Stuart street, on Tuesday evening. The C.R., Bro. I). Morcer presided. Tho meeting was called for the nomination and election of a trustee vice Bro. W. M. Hogg, who was recently elected secretary. Four nominations were received, and after three ballots I’.C.R. Bro. E. Johnstone was elected with a majority of two. Bro. Johnstone has been a very keen Forester for many a year. P.C.R. Bro. Fleming and Peat, of Court Pride of Dunedin, acted as secretaries, and in responding to the toast Bro. Fleming said it was pleasing to see so many nominations and so close a ballot. Teams were selected as follow to represent tho court at Court King Edward’s Pride tournament; —Crib—Bros. Marshall, Joo Patton, T. Bastion, and J). Mercher; euchre—Bros J. Breen, T. Mason. J. Wright, and E. Johnstone. A vote of thanks was passed to the Social Committee for the manner in which it had carried out the sixtysoventh anniversary, which was considered the best ever held. Tho Social Committee was also asked to draw up a syllabus for the coining year and report at tho next meeting. After tho court closed tho members and visitors, including several ladies, took part in the last section of tho crib tournament.
