■ POSTMISTRESS'S THEFTS [Per United Press Association.] HAMILTON, November 6. Margaret Galbraith Crawford, aged twenty years, charged with the theft of £7!i while postmistress at Horotiil, was admitted to twelve months’ probation in the Hamilton Court to-day. It was shown by the police that_ the money had been taken over a period of six weeks, and portion of it spent on her trousseau, in preparation for her marriage in a few days’ time. The magistrate (Mr Wyvern Wilson) remarked that he thought she had probably learnt her lesson.
