The Canadian Conqueror, en route from - Montreal, has reported by wifeless that she expects to arrive at Auckland on Saturday. PERSONAL. Mr J. ATLoughlin has relieved Mr W. Anderson as chief engineer on tho Echo. . Captain Wahlstrom has relieved Captain MacMillan as master on the Nikatt. Captain Vasia has taken command of the Rata in place of Captain Wahlstrom. Captain Hay has resumed command of tho Alatangi. Captain F. S. Hamilton is in command of the Tongariro, which is due at Wellington on November 14 from Liverpool, via Auckland. ARRlVED.—November (5. Waikonaiti, s.s. (7.15 a.m.), 3,920 tons, Watson, from Oamaru. Ferndalc, s.s. (8 a.m.), 9,070 tons, J. Heighten, from London via Falmouth, Curacao, Panama, and Lyttelton. Kaimanawa, s.s. (10.45 a.m.), 2,410 tens. Corbf, from Auckland via ports. SAILED. —November 5. Maheno, s.s. (3.15 p.m.), 5,232 tons, J Bvan, for Lyttelton. Cairn, s.s. (0.30 p.m.), 892 tons, Sheppard, for Wanganui via ports. The Gale is duo hero oil Saturday to load cargo tho same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Pieton, and Wanganui. The Storm, from Port Craig, and the Breeze, from Lyttelton, are due at Dunedin on November 11 and 15 respectively. Both vessels load for Wanganui via ports. The Kurow is to sail at 8 o’clock to-night for Bluff, thence Maria Island and Australian ports to load for New Zealand. With cargo from Auckland via ports, the Kaimanawa berthed at Dunedin this morning. She also loads hero and sails to-night for ’Timaru, Lyttelton, and Westport. The Waikonaiti came alongside the Birch street wharf this morning to unload Australian coal. She sails at 4 o’clock to-morrow morning for Sydney’, going by way of Bluff. Tho Opihi was to leave Timaru today for Dunedin, where she unloads coal to-morrow and takes in general cargo for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport. The Waimarino left Auckland last evening with cargo for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Timaru, and is duo here on Tuesday next. Bad weather at Bluff has delayed work on the Wingatui. which now loaves there to-morrow for Dunedin, where she loads on Saturday for Oamarn, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. FERNDALE AT PORT CHALMERS. An arrival at Port Chalmers this morning was tins steamer Ferndalc, with cargo from London. She has already discharged part cargo at Lyttelton, and when she leaves here she goes to New Plymouth to complete, thence to Australia to load wool Jor Home.

The Fcrudale sailed from London on September 26. calling off Falmouth tho following day for her papers. She experienced (rough weather for the first three days in the Atlantic, and then had fine weather to Curacao, where she called for oil fuel. The Ferndal© averaged fifteen knots from Falmouth to Curacao. The transit of tho Panama Canal was made on October 9, and fine weather was met with until October 26, when off Pitcairn the ship ran into a northerly gale. Two days later the gale changed to southerly, with a heavy westerly swell which lasted until Friday morning. Otherwise the voyage was uneventful. Captain J. Heighten retains command of the Feme!ale, and his officers are:— Chief, Mr W. J. Gamier; second, Mr L. J. Hopkins; third, Air C. Howe; fourth, Mr D. Campbell; chief engineer, Mr IT. Webb; second. Mr J. Dunn; third. Air A. Dewar; fourth. Air H. Ledger; wireless operator. Air 0. Read; chief steward, Mr S. Alitchell. FROM THE ORIENT. Messrs Neill and Co. advise that the Melbourne Alaru left Yokohama on October 26 for Nagoya. Osaka, Kobe, Aloji, Hongkong, Manila, Brisbane. Sydney, Ale!bourne, and thence Wellington. The motor ship is due at the New Zealand port on December 5, and the Dunedin consignment of her cargo should come to hand two days later. The Sydney Alaru follows the Melbourne Maru’, leaving Yokohama on November 25 and calling at the same ports to Wellington, where she is due on January 5. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
