A good work is being carried out by those enthusiasts who are helping to develop th musical instincts in the young, and one phase of this work that should strongly appeal to tno public generally is that pertaining to band music. . The Albany Street School 13and is well known, not only for the high standard it has attainpd in regard to playing, but for its willingness to give its services in any good cause. Ani now an opportunity is given the public to show its appreciation of all this by patronising an entertainment that is being given Jn aid of the band’s funds by tho Dunedin Orphans Club in tho concert chamber of the Town Hall on Tuesday next. The progremmo promises to be right up to the best Orphans’ Club traditions, and the prices of admission have been fixed on a popular basis.
