SUDDEN DEATH AT PORT.

Cecilia Llewellyn, a widow, aged sixty-three years, died _ suddenly at Port Chalmers this morning. The deceased, who was cook in the Provincial Hotel, tripped over a mat about three weeks ago, and scalded herself. While sho was laid up sho was attended to by Dr Edgar, and sho was progressing so favourably that she was expected to resume work next week. This morning, however, she went into the bathroom and expired suddenly. Dr Edgar would not give a certificate as to the cause of death, and an inquest was opened this afternoon before Mr JR. Bartholomew, S.M.
