WAKARI CLUB The annual meeting of the above club was held in the school on Monday evening, Mr C. Beeby presiding over a good attendance. The Chairman, in moving the, adoption of the annual report and balancesheet, congratulated members on a very successful season ( both from a playing and financial point of view. 'i'he A team was successful in winning the cup in its competition, while several members distinguished themselves in, the Lawn Tennis Union’s tournament. He hoped that they would have an equally successful season during the coming year. The election of office-bearers resulted President, Mr C. Beeby; vicepresidents—Messrs C. French and H. Colquhoun; secretary and treasurer, Mr I. Morrison; club captain, Mr 11. Watkins; General Committee Mrs Wilson, Miss Reid, Messrs A. Campbell, S. MTaull, P. Watkins; Ladies’ Social Committee —Mrs M'Faull and Miss Light; delegates to Lawn Tennis Union—Messrs A. Campbell and R. Watkins; auditor, Mr C. Beeby. Ten new members were elected. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 4.
