Tho annual match for tho Payne Trophy between the premiers of Otago and Canterbury will be played at Carisbrook where Alhambra will meet Christchurch. Tho visitors arrived this morning and are staying at the City Hotel. They hav.i a good all round team both back and forward. Included in tho team are several Canterbury representative players. Alhambra will ho represented by its full strength. As a curtain raiser the match between the Law Faculty and the Commerce Faculty will be played subject to the ground being in a fit condition. Mr 11. Herd has been appointed to referee the Payne Trophy shield match.
