A man took a hard tumble, and his companion helped him up. “ How did you happen to fall, Toni r 1” he asked Tom answered: “Notwithstanding! The other was still laughing when he reached home, and his wife asked him the cause of his merriment. “ Tom is n. funny chap,” he explained. “ When ho slipped on the pavement coming homo I asked him how it happened, and quick as a flash ho answered ‘ Nevertheless!’ You don’t see it now, ho_ added, “ but you will when you think it over.”
