PRELIMINARY SESSION OPENS Fixtures were- made by the Arbitration Court tin's morning. Mr Justice Frazer presided, and with "Inin were Mr \V. Cecil Prime (employers’ representative) and Mr A. L. Monteith (workers’ representative). The following eases were set down for hearing:— Thursday, September 11.—10 a.m.; Application for interpretation of shop assistants’ award; application for amendment of engineers’ apprenticeship older, 2.75; Appeals by Walter Guy and William Faigati against dismissal. Friday. September 12.—10 a.m.: Hunter v. Wairaki Coal Company (two witnesses will he heard in Dunedin and tho ease will then bo continued in Invercargill). Thursday. September IS.—lO a.m.: John Cooper v. Tho Lovo Construction Company, claim fur compensation. Friday, September 11).—10 a.m.; Park hilt v. SeailTo. claim for compensation; Inspector of Awards v. W. W. AFLaehlan and W. Wiukct, alleged breaches of award. Saturday. September 20.—10 a.m.: Application for interpretation of waterside workers’ award. Monday. September 22.—10 a.m.: Paper Mill workers’ dispute. 2.15; Labourers’ dispute. Tuesday, September 2.1.—10 a.m.; Paul v. Bruce Publishing Company, claim for compensation; William Janies Grant v. Otago Harbour Board, claim for compensation. Wednesday. September 21.—10 a.m.: Paul Lundcpiist v. Neuchatel Asphalt Company, Lid., claim for compensation. 2.15 p.m.: Geddos v. New Zealand Fix press Company, claim for compensation. Tho brick and tile workers’ dispute was adjourned until tho next sittings. Several minor matters of adding to or striking parties out of awards were also dealt with. Li AHI LIT Y ADMITTED.
