FOOTBALL JUBILEE
OTAGO UNION'S CELEBRATIONS The Otago Rugby Football Union will celebrate its jubilee at the end ol the month, when the following funo* tions will be held:—On Tuesday, Sep. tember 23, a smoke concert will be held in the Early Settlers’ Hall. This should prove a most interesting function, and several old’ players who played beioro the formation of the union are ! expected to attend. On Thursday, September 25, a ball will be held in the Pioneer Hall. On Saturday, September 27, a seven-a-side tournament and athletio events will be held at Carisbrook. On Sunday, September 28, a church service will be held in the Town Hall. Members of clubs will assemble under their club banners at the Queen’s Gardens at 2 p.m., and will march from the Queen’s Gardens to the Town Hall, A history of the union is also being written up, and any old players who could supply any interesting matter ara requested to forward same to. the secretary of the O.R.F.U. The jubilee is being taken up enthusiastically by members of affiliated clubs, and it is anticipated that the . various functions will prove most interesting. ■;
