POPULAR DANCE, CONCERT CHAMBER

Lovers of this enjoyable recreation can always depend on a jolly evening’s entertainment each Saturday under the “ Popular ” management, and last Saturday was no exception to the rule. In the semi-finals of the waltz contest for the Otago championship those present were treated to a fine exhibition of this old but .favourable dance, and the finals to-night should prove equally interesting. Those competing will be judged by the audience, so that the result will be a popular one. The audience during the evening will be asked to vote on a matter of great importance, and a number of lucky spot prizes will be distributed, while the excellent facilities of the beautiful concert chamber will be open to patrons.
