Tannock presiding. , It was decided to invite members to send in lists of the more tender plants growing in their gardens, so that their resistance to frost could be ascertained,Mr Tannock stated that in the :ecenfc examinations Messrs E. M'Ewan and J.M'Kenzio were successful in gaining complete passes in both and oral work for the first section of the diploma of horticulture. Miss Boyd had passed in the written examination, and 'Mr J. Hcwat had passed everything m the first section except zoology. Mr M‘lndoo was appointed to tlu> position of secretary and made a member of the Examining Board in place of Mr Dallas. It was stated that the next competition for the Loder Cup would bo held iu February at> the same time as tins Dunedin Horticultural Society’s Jubilee Show.
