POPULAR DANCE, CONCERT CHAMBER
Last Saturday night_ was tlie commencement of the waltzing competition for the Otago championship at the “Popular” dance,, Town Hall, ana about twenty couples took the floor, six couples being selected lor the finals. The second section • will be competed for to-night. Owing to the manner in which the semi-leap-year dancing was received—-tins, novelty proving more than popular it will be introduced again to-night. , An added attraction will be-the specialty dance ‘ Upsa Daisy ’ by that versatile little dancer Miss Violet Lunam. The Civic Band of six will play new and popular items for the new and old dances, and the standard of entertainment offered should assure a good attendance.
