RIOTING IH INDIA GRAVE SITUATION AT SOKKVR Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. DELHI, August, 6. There is a grave situation at Sukkur following the Hindu-Moslom riots. Machine guns are guarding the main streets and public buildings, and armed police and Europeans are patrolling the city. Two companies of Indian infantry are proceeding to the city from Hyderabad. Rioting again broke out. Many cases of robbery with violence have occurred in secluded parts of the city, the victims in most cases being refugees from the floods, who are at present living in the streets and open spaces. HINDU RUNS AMOK ELEVEN PEOPLE KILLED. DELHI, August 6. The acute tension between Hindus and Moslems in Hiw.war city, in the Punjab, had a dramatic sequel, yesterday when a Hindu ran amok with a gun and killed eleven Moslems and wounded four others. He rushed into a butcher’s shop and shot dead every Moslem, of whom there were nine. He then left the city and killed two more. He is still at large. DISOBEDIENCE CAMPAIGN CONFERENCE WITH MR GANDHI. DELHI, August 5. The Viceroy has given permission to the Bundits Motilal Nehru and Jahawarlal Nehru to meet Mr Gandhi in Yeravada Gaol to discuss a settlement of the political situation. It is emphasisted that the calling off of the civil disobedience and no tax campaign is a specific condition precedent to consideration by the Government- of any suggestion which the three Congress leaders may make after a discussion in gaol. It is understood that the Viceroy is determined not to allow any more vaccilation on the part of the Congress to accept the Government’s terms. '
