Official advices have been received confirming the extended successes of the Chinese Communists, whom the Nationalist forces are unable to check. Four destroyers have left Sasebo for Shanghai to protect Japanese in the Yangtse ports. MISSIOHARIES IN DANGER ATROCITY REPORTED SHANGHAI, August 5. (Received August 0, ai> 10.3-5 a.m.) Due to the very real Communistic menace existing in China, missionaries have been ordered to make immediate preparations to evacuate the interior stations. Recently Communist troops captured two missionaries. Misses Nettlcton and Harrison. In the case of the former they cut off her fingers on one hand, and sent them to the Church Missionary Society, demanding a huge ransom.
