During the war a man had occasion to call at the Food Office about... some infringement of the law, and had soma difficulty in finding the particular department deajing with his business. After much searching he entered a room where there were two ladies, neither very young nor very .goodlooking. “ Are you the Oils and Fats? ’ asked the man. “ No,” said one of th« ladies, “ we are the Dried Fruits.”
