Thames Valley.—June 25, July 16, August 6, 27, September 3, 24, October 15.' The Dunedin Coursing. Club had decided to hold its first fixture for the Boyle Challenge Cup on Juno 27 and 28. The club was unfortunate in losing a large number of hares from the enclosure last month, and its usual Show Week fixture had to be abandoned. The club was bard hit by the loss ot the hares. The hares now on the enclosure were netted in the Middlemareh district by the inembers of the committee. The lkamatua and West Coast Coursing Club will run off a maiden stake of LIU and a silver cup at the club’s enclosure on Juno 28 Air R. J. Warring is secretary for the new-formed Club.

Messrs Bridges and AFGrath, ol Frankton- Junction, have registered their partnership. The running of the New South Wales Champion Cup has been set down for August 19, 21, and 22. ’ The New South Wales National Coursing Association lost £1,017 on Jast year’s operations. The association assets now stand at £1,164. During last year the association registered 5,000 puppies from 693 litters, and stud dogs registered numbered 455. The registration of names of greyhounds in New Zealand up to the end of Alay has been printed, and owners can secure a copy; free of charge by applying to the association. The' Patea Club' reports having a good supply- of hares on its enclosure for the forthcoming Waterloo, Despite the ■ fact that the Patea Club was granted control of this year’s blue ribbon event last December, the dates have not yet been arranged. The dates should have been known at the commencement of the season.

In the naming of dogs several requests have been made by owners for names of prominent people. Under the rules this is not permitted, and initial letters for names arc also prohibited. 1 have to acknowledge from W. J. Letcher, secretary of the National Coursing Club of South Australia, a Copy of the * Association Coursing Register ’ for 1930. This is the twentyfirst issue published by the association. The booklet contains a list of litter registrations, names, results of seventyfive fixtures held in Adelaide last year, and a tabulated list of winners of all classic events since the inception of the association. The Thames Valley Coursing Club import that the club anticipates a successful season, and has a good supply of game on the enclosure for the big programme of events. Both Oamaru and the Otago Open Coursinjf Clubs have held successful fixtures in the open. Mr J. A. Galloway is the secretary of the Oaraaru Club.
