OPPOSITION LEADER ON THE TREATIES Prsw Association—By Telegraph—Copyright VANCOUVER, Juno 13. (Received Juno 14, at 11 a.m.) At Calgary, in an election address, Mr R. B. Bennett (the (Conservative Opposition Leader) pledged himself to abrogate every now treaty negotiated by the present Government which is “injurious to Canadian agriculture.” This assertion, which is causing great interest, is being interpreted as an attack on the Australian areaty and the importation of New Zealand butter. The Conservative election platform contains a demand for high protective duties.
