The entries Tor Monday night’s open amateur tournament at His Theatre are of very satisfactory dimensions, and witli the leading schools all represented some spirited contests should be witnessed. Otago has some exceptionally promising amateur fighters at the present time, including the w " -ir-weight knock-out artist Bert Lowe, and as most of them will bo seen in action, «jn-. i thusiasts are promised a night of good boxjng. In' addition to the best fighters in the open class, several -of ' those 'who met with success at. the recent novice tournament will appear, and a . good, deal of interest will ‘be evinced in' their showings against more experienced boys.
