ST. KILDA BEACH IMPROVEMENT

MEETING GF SOCIETY MEMBERS A very enthusiastic meeting of members of the St. Kilda Beach Improvement Society was hold in the Bungalow at St Kilda on Thursday evening, tho president (Mr J. W. Dove) occupying the chair. The object of the meeting was to further discuss the recommendation of the general meeting held the previous week, that a bazaar bo held to raise funds to liquidate tho outstanding liability of some '£7oo on the pavilion and grounds. After a prolonged discussion it was resolved to recommend tho general meeting called foi next Tuesday evening to run tho bazaar in the form of an, Eastern fair. Mrs D. M. Lister, of tho Ladies’ Committee, undertook to hold a princess competition (a novelty after the style of a queen carnival) in connection with the fair.
