LADIES' HOCKEY
/ ; OTAGO ASSOCIATION The weekly meeting of the executive of the Otago Ladies’ Hockey Association was held last night. P.resent: Mrs G. A. Nelson (in the chair), Misses White, Adams, Turnbull, Sutherland, and Hill. It was decided that the selectors for the season bo Mr J. Martyn and Mr D. Miller. Re the seven-a-side tournament held on Juno 3, the secretary reported that the sum of £24 had been taken at the gate, as against £4l the previous year. Special votes of thanks were passed to the referees and to all who had helped to make the tournament a success;
It was decided that only the A grade matches be played on Saturday next, these to be played at 1.30, and that no matches be played on June 21, the day of the Rugby test match. Attention was directed to the fact that some matches were being played with a ball thai was not a regulation hockey .mil. and it was decided that the attention of the referees be drawn to the matter.
The following are the matches for Saturday
A Grade.—Momona v. 0.G.H.5., on Oval No. 1. at 1.30 (Mr J. Gray); Technical Old Girls v. Taieri, on Oval No. 2, at 1.30 (Mr D> Miller); Triangle v. Otago, on Oval No. 3, at 1.80 (Mr E. S. Wallace); Training College v. University (to bo played later).
