(10.55 a.m.),. 749 tops, Sheppard, iron; Wanganui and Wellington- ' SAILED—May 16. Waipiata, s.s. (3.15 p.m.), 2,826 tonsj Elders, for Bluff. Early last evening the Himatangi arrived from Wellington. She was loading to-day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth, for which ports she is to sail to-night. The Storm arrived this morning from Wellington, and is to sail - again on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Waipiata left yesterday afternoon for Bluff, and returns to Dunedin on Tuesday to take in cargo for Oamaru, Timaru Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. I ■ . ■ ' Loading is to be done at Westport on Monday by the Opihi. She will discharge at Timaru, Oarnaru, and Dunedin, and will also load here about May 24 for Oarnaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. On Tuesday next the coastal tanker Pa.ua is due . here from Lyttelton viai Bluff with bulk oil, and when this hasj been pumped out she will load empty drums and sail for Wellington. From Wellington the Holmdalo is duo on Monday to load cargo for Wellington and. Wanganui via ports. THE FERRY SERVICE. , The Wahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.45 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails connected with the south express. SHELL TANKERS SOLD. The Shell Oil Company’s two-deck tanker Pearl Shell has been sold to foreign interests for £70,000. _ The Pearl Shell was built at Wilmington (Del.) in 1916 by Messrs Harland and Hollingsworth. She is a steam turbine vessel of 5,834 tons gross register. Ihe Silver Shell, another unit of the fleet, has been sold to similar interests at. the same price. , TAIROA TO FILL UP. The Shaw Savill steamer Tairoa is expected at Port Chalmers on Monday mornin" from Wellington to complete her Homeward loading. The vessel will] sail finally from this port about May 22 for London and Hull, via Panama. KARETU DISCHARGING. Arriving in the Lower Harbour yesterday afternoon the steamer Karetu remained at anchorage until she could come to town by the evening tide. She berthed at the Birch Street wharf shortly after 5 o’clock, and was this morning discharging portion of her general merchandise loaded at Newcastle and Sydney. The Karetu sails nn Monday for Lyttelton and Wellington . , NARBADA WTTH EASTERN CARGO The Union Company reports that the Narbada left Auckland late last night for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to discharge the remainder of her Eastern merchandise. ■ She is duo here about May 26. CITY OF OSAKA RADIOS. A radio message from the master of the City of Osaka, en route from New York to. New Zealand, states that the vessel expects to arrive at Auckland next Monday at 6 a.m. The steamer is bringing'a cargo-lor discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and is due hero about Juno 4. ..

Telegraphic advice from Lyttelton states that the City of Christiania was to have sailed from there at noon today for Dunedin, where she is dn© to-morrow to unload American cargo. HUNTINGDON DUE TO-MORROW. The Federal steamer Huntingdon was to have sailed from Lyttelton at 3 o’clock this afternoon for Dunedin. She is due here to-morrow to discharge portion of her English merchandise. NEWS OF CANADIAN CONQUEROR, The latest advice from Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. is to-the effect that • the Canadian Conqueror is due here on Wednesday next from Halifax via nor-, them porta to discharge cargo and also load.
