ODDS AND ENDS FROM FASHION’S NOTEBOOK
Bundies of Hat roses are placed just above the knee on the skirt of some or the new evening dresses. Ribbon niching and frilling in generous quantities appear on the hems of dance frocks, Bolero jackets beaded in a colour to match tho dress are worn over chiffon frocks. Hats of a new tweed straw look as though they are made of wool. They are worn with the featherweight tweeds which are so popular just now. A new dress material is finely woven straw decorated by motifs of a different colour. . Long gloves in black or pale pink are worn with sleeveless dinner or dance frocks. Buttons like crystals, buttons like beads, make way for looking-glass buttons. Plain black satin makes a dinner dress the very full skirt of which is edged by a deep band of black net stitched with rows and rows of narrow black braid.
