SUPER-TAX ON LAND
HARDSHIP INVESTIGATIONS GOMPLEIE I Special to the ‘ Star.’] WELLINGTON, May 13. The commission appointed to investigate appeals by landowners against the special super-tax on land on the ground of hardship has completed its inquiries, and is now framing its final report. The commission comprises Mr W. G. Riddell, a former stipendiary magistrate, who is chairman, Mr D. G. Clark, representing the Government, and Mr A. E. Fowler, representing the farming community.
