Forecast. The dominion meteorologist (Dr IS. Kidson) supplied the following at noon to-day:—The indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong, and strong gale at times, and back-' ing by west to south; the weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled, with scattered rain probable, and the weather will probably become colder; barometer rising after about ten hours; seas rough, tides moderate. SAILED.—May 13l Wingatui, s.s. (12.5 p.m.), 2,378 tons, M'Clellan, for Auckland, via | ports. Wainui, s.s. (3.40 p.m.), 1,633 tons, Hackworth, for Napier and Gisborne, via ports. Progress, s.s.. (4.25 p.m.), 353 tons, Hay, for Port Waikato, via* ports. The, Wingatui sailed yesterday afternoon for Auckland, via ports. Loading for Napier and Gisborne coiijf)letea,the-,.Waiuui sailed yesterday afternoon for the north. The Progress, which sailed last evening, discharges cargo at New Plymouth and Port, 'Waikato, via ports., This morning the Gale arrived from Wellington to load. She sails to-night for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton,' and Wanganui. The Waipiata left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here on Thursday to unload cargo, and then goes to Bluff, The vessel returns to this port on May 20 to load for Auckland, via' ports. The Totara leaves Wellington on Saturday for Dunedin, where she loads out on Monday for New Plymouth, via ports. Advice has been received that the Norwegian steamer June left Nauru Island on May 7 with G.BOO tons of phosphates for Auckland, where she is due on May 18. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.45 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails connected with the south express. PASSENGERS VIA AUSTRALIA. The following passengers for New Zealand are travelling by the P. and O. liner Maloja, which is due at Sydney from London to-morrow :—Mrs A. B. Campbell and Mr T. 0. S. Davis, Miss M. Howling and Messrs H. T. and P. C. Merritt The Aberdeen and Commonwealth liner Largs Bay, which was due at Sydney from London on Monday, has on board the following passengers for New Zealand; —The Rev. R. Preston, Mrs M. MThillips, Mr L. J. MThillips, Miss L. P. MacDairmid, Miss N. Campbell, Miss H. E. Bailey, Mrs E. J. Edwards, Mr D. J. Thomson, Mr and Mrs R. F. Cbristom, Mrs Jones ami two children, Mrs and Miss Perry. LEAVING BY PORT HARDY. The Port Hardy, which sailed from Wellington last evening for London, took as passengers Mr and Mrs H. R. Beauchamp and two children, and Miss Watkin. COPTIC IN BALLAST. Tbo Shaw, Savill Company’s motor ship Coptic, from London, in ballast, is due at Bluff on May 19. She will load at that port and at Port Chalmers, Timaru, Lyttelton, Gisborne, and Wellington. She is to sail from Wellington on June 7 for London and West coast ports of the United Kingdom, via Panama. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL. HUNTINGDON DUE SATURDAY, The Federal agency advices that the Huntingdon, which'arrived at Wellington this morning from Liverpool, via Auckland, unloads later at Lyttelton and Dunedin.' She is due at this port on Saturday. KARETU ARRIVES FRIDAY. The Union Company advises that the steamer Karetu, from Sydney, is due here on Friday to unload portion of her cargo. She sails at night for Lyttelton and Wellington. MOVEMENTS: BY TELEGRAPH, AUCKLAND, May 13.—Arrived: Kaponga (7.50 p.m.), from Lyttelton. Sailed: Waikawa (4.35 p.m.), for Wellington.
