Y.M.C.A. CONFERENCE
A FEDERATION OF CLUBS [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 25. A gathering of interest to many has just come to a close at Rlimmerton, where between fifty and sixty young women representing the Young Women’s Christian Association in all parts of New Zealand met with the object of bringing about a federation of clubs throughout the dominion. The dele gates assembled on Good Friday, and were welcomed by the conference hostess, Mrs H. D. Bennett, of Wellington, who also introduced Yuki Kimura San, Tokio, the guest of honour. Miss Ethel Law, national general secretary, and Miss Leila Bridgman, national girls’ work secretary, were also present, and representatives from New Plymouth, _ Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru, and Dunedin. The conference concluded with the holding of the first dominion assembly service of the federation, in which members pledged their loyalty to its friendship.
