Kotare, s.s, (11.15 p.m.), 147 tons, Johanson, for Invercargill, and Port Craig. —April 20. Zealandic, motor ship (6.35 a.m.), 8^290-tons, J. H. Gaskell, for London, via Panama. Tho Progress was loading here today. She sails to-night for Port Waikato via ports. The Storm, Waipiata, and Kotare sailed on Thursday. The first-named vessel goes to Wanganui via ports, the second to Auckland via ports, and the third to Invercargill and Port Craig. On Thursday afternoon the lonic left Port Chalmers for Bluff to complete discharge of her Horae cargo and to load. The Calm is due to-morrow from Bluff to load and sail on Monday for Wanganui via ports. The Kaimiro sails at noon on Monday for Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport, via ports. Tho Kurow left Lyttelton on Thursday afternoon for Timaru and Dunedin. She loads here on Monday for Lyttelton and Auckland. The Wainui leaves Wellington at< 6 o’clock this evening for Dunedin, where she is to load on Monday for Napier and Gisborne via ports. The Opihi is to load at Westport on Tuesday for Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin, The New Plymouth-Onehunga passenger service is being abandoned by the Northern Company, and the Ngapnhi is to withdraw from the run when she returns to Onehnnga from New Plymouth on May 3. sba will then gqjio Auckland and relievo the Clansman in tho Russell service on May 5, while the Clansman undergoes overhaul. The Ngapuhi will be replaced on the West Coast by the motor vessel flauturu, which will run a bi-weekly cargo service between Onehnnga and New Plymouth. The Hauturu will take up the service leaving Onehunga on Monday, May 5, but after the initial trip she will leave Onehunga for New Plymouth every Saturday and Wednesday. THE FERRY SERVICE. Tho Wahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lytelton at 6.45 this morning, and passengers and mails connected with the south express. PERSONAL. Captain D. Urquhart is in command of the Ruahine, which arrived at Auckland last Tuesday from London. Captain W. J. Enright retains command of tho C. and D. Line steamer Port Hardy, which arrived at Wellington last Saturday from London, via Auckland. Tho Shaw, Savill steamer Tairoa, which arrived at Lyttelton on Thursday from Liverpool, via Auckland, is under tho command of Captain D. Christie. MATAROA’S ARRIVAL. A wireless message received by tho Shaw, Savill Company from the captain of the Mataroa states that the __ vessel will arrive at Wellington next Wednesday evening from London and Southampton. Tho Mataroa is bringing passengers and mails for New Zealand, and cargo for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. TAINUI FROM ENGLAND. With passengers, mail, and cargo for New Zealand the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Tainui was to leave Southampton yesterday. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland and Wellington, and she is duo at Auckland on May 31. PORT NARIER TO LOAD. Tho C. and D. steamer Port Napier ai rived at Port Chalmers this morning for final loading, and will sail next Wednesday for London via Montevideo. WAIKOUAITI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company’s steamer Waikouaiti was to leave Sydney to-day with cargo for discharge at Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She should arrive here about May 6.
MAHBNO LEFT MELBOURNE. The Maheno left Melbourne at 10 a.m. on Thursday with 143 saloon and steerage passengers, and 828 tons ot general cargo for New Zealand. She is due at Bluff on Monday, and at Dunedin the following day, when she will unload 139 tons of her cargo. She then goes to Lyttelton and Wellington. The vessel’s cargo includes transhipments ex Trianon, Nirpura, and Talleyrand. KIWITEA’S LOADING. - On April 28 the Kiwitea is to load at Adelaide, completing at Melbourne and Hobart early in May for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Auckland, and New Plymouth. CANADIAN TRANSPORTER DUB TO-MORROW. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the Canadian Transporter is duo here to-morrow from Montreal via northern ports to unload cargo from Canada and to load for the return voyage. She sails on Tuesday for Wellington and Auckland to complete loading for New York, Boston, ana Montreal. The vessel leaves Auckland finally on May 3. ZEALANDIC LOADED. The Shaw, Savill Company’s Zealandio left- Port Chalmers yesterday morning for London via Panama. She loaded apples, wool, and other products at this port. '■«! RUAPEHU AT PORT CHALMERS. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruapehu reached Port Chalmers yesterday to continue loading. She later completes at: Wellington, leaving there finally early next month for Southampton and London via Panama, CAMBRIDGE LEAVES PANAMA CANAt. Cabled news has been received by the Federal Company that the Cambridge, en route from Liverpool, cleared the Panama Canal on April 17. She is due at Auckland on'May 6, and later proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Timaru to complete discharge. HORORATA FROM LONDON. ■ En route from London- to New Zealand, via Suva, the Hororata reached Colon on April 15, and left Panama on the same day. She is due at Lyttelton on May 12. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor liner Rangitiki, which. left Wellington at 6.30 this morning for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal,- carried a record number of passengers leaving New Zealand for England by a direct steamer.
