SUICIDE FROM BRIDGE [Per (Is' ited Press Association-.] AUCKLAND, April 24. Shortly before 2 o’clock this afternoon James Farrell, aged between sixty-five and seventy years, scrambled over the parapet of Grafton bridge, above the deepest place, and fell into the gully far below. He was found in a dying state. He left a note in bis pocket saying “ Good-bye boys. I’m a done man.” According to an ove-witiiees Farrell ran along' tlio pathwav to the middle of the bridge. He then halted, dragged himself up on to the parapet, and rolled over into space. The deceased lived at 35 Pbnsonby road. Ho was evidently destitute, judging by Ins poor clothing and the fact that his boots were in tatters. A first-aid outfit and stretcher were immediately taken to the foot of the gully, but the man was dead.
