THE ENDOWMENT FUND The following subscriptions have been received by the committee which has been organised to raise the Otago and Southland quota of tho fund that is deemed necessary for the endowment of the chair of obstetrics in tho University of Otago:— £ s. d. Canterbury, so far, has raised £2,600, but there are several returns yet to come. in. The return from Dunedin shows a total of £I,BOO to date, but Southland is not included. Auckland city so far has raised £2,000. The Wellington district return is made up as follows .-—Wanganui, £1,130; Taranaki, £1,052; Wellington city, £800; Hawke’s Bay, £700; Manawatu, £655; Wairarapa, £3931
