“Perplexed.”—(a) Petrol is quite the best way to clean your frock. Divide your petrol into two. _ After moving the frock about freely in the first half, wring as much moisture out of it as possible before using the second half. Petrol will not affect the pleats at all. Put the frock on a coat hanger in the sun until all traces and odour have gone. (b) If your gloves are washable warm water and soap will remove the red ink. If not, try petrol.
“Mulberry.”—Mulberry jam is made in the same way as raspberry using 3lb of sugar to 11b fruit and no water.
