AQUATICS

OTAGO YACHT AND MOTOR BOAT CLUB A meeting of the committee of the Otago Yacht and Motor lioat Club was held on Thursday night, the Commodore (Mr C. W. Sundstrum) presiding. The club captain reported that one fourteen-footer shed was vacant, and the secretary was given instructions to allot it. • _ The committee appointed to go into the matter of the evening outboard races reported that it was considered to bo too late in the season for the events.—lt was resolved to abandon the programme for tin’s season. The question of the clashing of the Vauxhall regatta with the club’s last series of races was discussed at length. It was pointed out that the club had decided upon its dates early in the season and had printed them in ( its syllabus, which was circulated early in November. It was clearly not'the fault of the club.—The secretary was instructed to write to the association recommending that it should endeavour to prevent such a clash in the future. He was also instructed to write to the Vauxhall Club setting out -the views of the;-,club."'
