Here is .another of the competitions sent in recently, But slightly altered to make it a little easier for the bairns. You will understand the method _b.V reading the first example. The prize is 2s 6d as usual.
. Add dairy produce to a sports prize and you - will obtain a flower —buttercup. . Add a wild animal to something to wear and you .will obtain a flower. Add a good whipping to part of a plant and you will obtain a vegetable. Add an impertinent action to a fabulous beast and You will obtain a flower. V !
Add a number to a useful feature of your-face and you will obtain a flower. - J
Add a bird to a slang igord and you will obtain a spring flower. Find a letter of the alphabet and yon will discover a vegetable. Think of a boy doing arithmetic and you will obtain a dangerous snake. Add the number of your years to a vehicle plying for hire and you will obtain a vegetable. Add a motor car to a heap of decayed manure and you will obtain a useful, vegetable. Add the middle of anything to a foreign name for you foot and you will obtain a dangerous insect.
