SOUTHERN BEAUTY AT ROYAL WEDDING.—To celebrate the marriage, in Rome, of the Crown Prince Umberto and Princess Marie Jose of Belgium, beautiful Italian girls from each of the provinces of Italy and from the islands of Sicily and Sardinia assembled in Rome. They offered a pagearit of beauty as they marched past the royal couple. The members of each provincial section were clad in picturesque and distinctive costumes. The whole of Italy, which cherishes a high regard for the; House of Savoy, was en fete for the occasion, and Italian colonies in the great cities of Europe and America held special celebrations in honour of the union of the royal houses of Belgium and Italy.

The tomb of an Annamese Emperor cannot be regarded as a tomb in the western sense of the word. It is a world in itself. That of Khai Dinh is a veritable modern palace to which one gains access, by a monumental stairway of 120 steps. It is situated in the centre of a great and picturesque park, (Right) Uncle Sam’s Fingerprint Library. A view of the typing section of the staff of the.
